Device Status and
Troubleshooting
The job results in an error. The job is queued for a media type that
is not assigned to either of the input
bins.
Make sure that at least one of the input
bins is assigned the media type that is
specified in the job. Refer to “Setting Up
the System Profile” on page 3-16.
Discs
The Dashboard does not
accurately report the
number of discs in the
input bins.
The robotic disc transporter is out of
alignment.
The reporting of the disc count is
accurate to within one disc.
Contact Codonics Technical Support.
Technical Support might have you run
the Robotic Arm Calibration utility,
described in “Calibrating the Robotic
Disc Transport” on page 11-16.
This is a normal tolerance for the
device.
Failed disk error. Mishandling of the disc, causing
fingerprints or scratches.
Low-quality discs.
Handle discs carefully. Make sure that
the recording side of the disc is clean
and is not scratched.
The Recorder is designed to print labels
on certain brands of discs with specific
printable surfaces. Use only Codonics-
recommended discs. Contact Codonics
Customer Service for a current list of
recommended discs and suppliers.
Disc jams. The robotic disc transporter is out of
alignment.
